Flipgrid is an app that facilitates collaborative discussion between pupils and teachers. Teachers can subscribe for free and create an online ‘class’ where video lesson introductions or discussion topics can be recorded and posted. Pupils are then able to record their own response to be viewed by the class and teacher – a great tool to use to provoke debate, discussion or for modern foreign languages. The app is compatible with google classroom and Microsoft teams, as well as enabling pupils to join simply by sharing the link to your “class”.
It also has a ‘disco library’ where there are thousands of pre-existing discussion topics already made, ready for you to share.
